I was inspired to paint this portrait of Mrs. Butler because of the strong facial features and the glowing smoothness of her age skin. This portrait was painted using Terry Ludwig Soft Pastels and Sennelier Soft Pastels. The painting was done from an original photograph that I took of Mrs. Butler.
