Soft pastels on paper. Inspired by the poem Hope is a Thing with Feathers by Emily Dickenson. This is a collage image of a starling with an enlarged creosote flower behind her. I compose a basic image on the computer, grid it, and then scale it up on the final image paper. All details are added by hand. The circles in the frame are done on UART 400 paper, cut-out and held in place with a raised glue polymer.
