've started 2 years ago painting a series of "square botanicals", manly painting from vegetables I find in farmer markets and flowers from my garden. I love to paint with vibrant colors and texture, When pastels and painting vegetables I find the best opportunity to put those two elements to use. I used watercolor paper and Golden pumice ground as a painting surface.
Layers of different hardness of pastels were used from hard to soft.
