(2021) Based on a photo (with permission) by Mary Moore. I chose to paint this image for the challenge of the indistinct horizon. I also chose to challenge myself by choosing an image with boats. I know nothing about boats, technically, but rather painted what I saw. I chose a cream sanded paper and began with pan pastel as my under painting. I completed the painting with soft pastels and a few pencils for the lines on the boats.
