I was inspired by a photo of a woman who looked weary, perhaps weary from a long day. Her expression pulled me in so I did my best to portray the emotion on her face in a tasteful way starting into an application of hard pastel (NuPastel) to block in the shapes, and then continuing with various soft pastels until I was satisfied with the detail and the background.
