Arizona is full of beautiful birds. This was a moment caught during the heat of the summer with this little guy just taking a rest. I loved how the rays of sunshine were casting in the back and wanted to reflect this moment with a very limited palette reminiscent of the Arizona desert. This is pastel on an oil painted substrate.
